Chennai: Hasthinapuram residents want the authorities to instal speed-breakers at places where they are a must.
They said commuting through Venkataraman Nagar Main Road in Hasthinapuram was difficult since the road has no speed-breakers to slow down speeding vehicles.
It is learnt that the road got blacktopping recently to help motorists use it without any issues. Since the authorities failed to instal speed-breakers, the vehicle-users speed through the road.
“If speed breakers are installed, the road would be safe for all, especially children playing hide and seek here, and senior citizens taking their daily walk,” said Ramamurthi, a resident.
