Chennai: In a horrifying incident, six persons died after inhaling toxic gases while cleaning a tank at Sriperumbudur. Among the six, three are from the same family.
The incident took place at a house in Vinayaka Nagar. The men had to clear blockage at the bottom of a septic tank and they allegedly went in without any safety gear.
As per reports, at first, Karthik and Kannan went in. When they did not come out for a long time others went in search of them.
The concentration of the gases was so high, it caused the workers to lose consciousness and die.
