Bengaluru:Ā EMISAT and 28 satellites of international customers would be launched fromĀ the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on 1 April.

According to media reports, the foreign satellites would include those from USA and Spain also. The EMISAT, whichĀ is intended for electromagnetic spectrum measurement andĀ based on ISROsĀ Indian Mini Satellite-2 (IMS-2) bus platform, weighing about 436-kg and the other satellites would be launched from on board the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) C-45. The foreign satellites are being launched under commercial arrangements.

It is to be noted that the launch was supposed to have taken place on 21 March but was later deferred to 1 April. It would be subjected to weather condition.
