IPL 2019: Winless Rajasthan faces formidable CSK

Rajasthan Royals, after facing defeats in its first two matches now face another tough opponents in defending champions Chennai Super Kings, at MA Chidambaram stadium here, Sunday.

Sanju Samson’s fluent century against Sunrisers Hyderabad last night could not save the men in Pink as Warner and Bairstow took on the bowlers early on smashing them all over the park.

Royals will once again depend on their batting to fire. With Rahane, coming back to form after a solid 70 in the last game will look forward to play a similar knock ad also will want Steve Smith and Jos Buttler to play well.

One main concern for the visitors is the performance of their bowlers that is letting them down. Medium pacers Dhawal Kulkarni and Ben Stokes conceded 40 runs in the three overs they bowled against Sunrisers and their performance will come under scanner ahead of the game.

Jofra Archer and Jaydev Unadkat’s performance too have dipped and the bowlers have to come together and put up a collective performance to pose a challenge to the formidable CSK batting line-up.

After the first game in Chepauk, where RCB was bundled out for 70 and the CSK batsmen, facing a hiccup before winning the match, the slow nature of the pitch came undetr scrutiny and it remains to be seen how the pitch behaves this game. CSK’s experienced spinners will once again come in handy against Rajasthan Royals.

The formidable CSK batting too will pose a big threat to the visiting bowlers. Chennai Super Kings is a very confident outfit after victories in both their games and will look to continue their wining momentum against the Royals in their familiar hunting ground.
