Chennai: The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) ended their fiscal year 2018-19 on a high note by producing 3,262 coaches. Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer at ICF, Shubranshu took on to Twitter to share the feat.
He said, “ICF closes 2018-19 with 3,262 coaches surpassing 2,503 coaches built in 2017-18, up by 30.3 per cent.” He also added, “LHB coaches have been doubled to 2,222 coaches, up from 1,111 coaches.”
In fiscal year, 2018-19, ICF had built 59 EMU rakes, one Train-18, nine MEMU rakes, nine DEMU rakes, two Kolkata Metro rakes, seven self propelled accident relief train (SPARTs), 57 diesel electric tower car (DETCs), two self propelled inspection car (SPICs), four Niligiri Mountain Railway coaches and three DEMU rakes for Sri Lanka.
