IPL 2019: RCB, Rajasthan look for first win

Two teams that are languishing at the bottom of the table with no wins yet in IPL 2019 so far face each other tomorrow. Both played three matches so far and lost all three. If Rajasthan Royals had some close games, Kohli-led Royal Challengers suffered huge defeats.

They were bundled out for 70 in their game against CSK, while they suffered a huge 118-run defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad last night.

After miserable shows with both bat and ball, RCB is under immense pressure to turn things around, But for a flashy innings by AB, the rest crumbled so far. None of their batsmen including Kohli and almost all bowlers have put up a pathetic show so far.

Speaking about tomorrow’s encounter against Rajasthan in Jaipur, the RCB skipper hoped things would turn around for his team in their next fixture. “The pitch will be nice in Jaipur against the Royals. We need to bring our A-game, like we did against Mumbai and play with that kind of intensity. If we go through the motions, we need to do the regular basic stuff, and get results our way and start winning games in the tournament. The next game should be that game for us,” Kohli said.

Rajasthan has a quality of batsmen including Jos Butler, Sanju samson ans Rahane himself. Smith who is back after a ban looked little rusty. But Ben Stokes has been their real performer. Last night, he almost took the game away from Chennai Super Kings.

On three defeats, “As a batting unit we need to take the responsibility for this. We win as a team and we lose as a team. If we win the smaller moments in T20s we will do well. We have played well in the last three games and hopefully with some luck we’ll be able to turn it around.”
