The Residents of Kasturba Nagar Association – ROKA, had its formal launch on 23 March.
A press release said, at the event, office-bearers gave a brief outline of the aims and objectives of the association, the work done by the team over the last one year, and the road map for the future.
ROKA aims to be an inclusive body, representing the interests of all those in Kasturba Nagar from First Main Road to Eighth Main Road.
Some of the specific issues to be taken up in the immediate future, are cleanliness, waste management and environment protection, enforcement of norms and rules pertaining to encroachments, commercialisation, unauthorised constructions and activities, safety and well-being of all residents, traffic management, regular interaction with civic authorities and periodic social interactions among residents.
