2019 polls: Work hard to ensure victory: EPS-OPS to party members

Chennai: In a move to motivate the cadres ahead of the polls, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam who are also the joint coordinator and coordinator of the AIADMK, respectively, today released a joint letter asking the party workers to ensure that the party’s alliance emerges victorious in the Lok Sabha election and by-poll.

In a four paged letter, the party leaders compared this election to the first baby delivery of a motherless woman.
“Though this is the first Lok Sabha election without former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa who had guided the party for almost 30 years, we are sure to have a clean sweep with the support of the people,” the letter stated.

It also stated that the opposition parties are trying to divert the people and party cadres by giving cash for votes and various advertisements. “With no other option the opposition parties are trying to force false surveys and advertisements,” the letter stated.

Meanwhile, sources said a petition seeking the ban of DMK’s TV advertisements will be given to Chief Electoral officer on behalf of the AIADMK today.
