Man in Chennai falls from balcony, dies


Chennai: A man fell from the second floor of his house in Royapettah and died Friday.

According to the police, Mohammed Kani (50), a resident of Tippu Street, Royapettah, was sitting on the parapet of the balcony of his house when he slipped and fell.

His head hit the steps below, causing grievous injuries. He was rushed to the Government Royapettah hospital, but he did not survive.
Ice House police have registered a case.

FALLS INTO WELL
In another incident, a man died after falling into a well at Puzhal. According to the police, Shanmuganathan (32), a security guard, lived at Valluvar Nagar in Red Hills.

It is said he suffered from seizures. This morning he was standing near a well and brushing his teeth when he had a seizure and fell into the well and died. His body was sent to the Government Stanley Hospital for post-mortem. The Puzhal police have registered a case.
