It’s south diva Trisha’s birthday today and the makers of her upcoming heroine-centric flick Paramapadham Vilaiyattu roped in her 96 co-star Vijay Sethupathi to release the film’s trailer and new poster today as a special treat to the actress.
Directed by Thirugnanam,  Paramapadham Vilaiyattu seems to be a politically charged thriller. The trailer shows an ailing leader of a political party admitted to a hospital. Trisha plays a doctor who treats the politician. She is forced by other politicians in the party to do certain ‘things’, but she refuses.
We even get a scene in the trailer where someone instructs to turn off CCTV cameras in the hospital floor where the political leader is admitted.
The trailer has been shot in such a way to remind one of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s days at Apollo. Meanwhile, Trisha’s doctor character and her family is attacked by powerful forces. How she manages to escape seems to be the crux of the story. The trailer finishes off with a dialogue – Politics is a snake and ladder game.
Paramapadham Vilaiyattu is produced by 24 HRS Productions. The film’s music is scored by Amrish. Apart from this film, Trisha will reportedly step into Taapsee Pannu’s role in the Tamil remake of Hindi blockbuster film Badla. The project will be produced by Dhananjayan.
