Telangana Chief Secretary’s office shifted


Hyderabad: As part of Telangana Chief Minister’s plans of building a new Secretariat and assembly complex, the process of shifting began on Wednesday, and the chief secretary’s office was moved out yesterday.

A media report said, the new office would be located in the Burgula Ramakrishna Rao Bhavan and it would include some of the key departments.

The Roads and Buildings Department has been moved to its Engineer-in-Chiefs office at Errum Manzil. Space have been identified for to accommodate staff temporarily until the new Secretariat complex is built.

In June, the Chief Minister had laid the foundation for the apex administrative complex and the new integrated Assembly complex. The Roads and Building Department will be executing the construction of the new buildings.

Group of Ministers headed by Road and Buildings Minister V Prashanth Reddy have been appointed to look into the construction of the new buildings. The decision on the design of the buildings will be finalised by the CM.
