DMK general council meet 6 October


Chennai, Sept: The General Council of the Opposition DMK, the highest policy-level decision making body, would be held here on 6 October.

In a statement here today, DMK general secretary K Anbazhagan said the meeting to be chaired by party president M K Stalin, would be held at YMCA ground in the city at 10 am.

All the general council members were asked to attend the meeting without fail.

The meeting would discuss about the constructive activities of the party, changes in party rules and reports of the audit committee, it is said.

It was in the general council held on 28 August last year Stalin was elected unopposed as president of the DMK.

Stalin was elevated to the post after the death of his father M Karunanidhi on 7 August last year.
