Chennai: CBI today stated it will not release the final investigation report of the Pollachi sex abuse case.
In reply to a petition filed at the Madras High Court by members of a women lawyers’ association, seeking the report, the agency said that since this is a secret probe, it is not possible.
It also said that there is no objection for the court to oversee the proceedings in the case and said that it is also ready to submit a report of the proceedings so far.
Following this, Justice Vineet Kothari who was hearing the case asked the CBI to submit the report on the progress and postponed the next hearing to 3 December.
