Chennai, Nov 11: At the general council of the DMK Sunday (10 November), the party’s president M K Stalin assumed the powers of the general secretary from K Anbazhagan (97), who is not keeping well.
A by-law amendment was approved at the meeting giving Stalin the additional powers.
While Anbazhagan will continue to be the general secretary, Stalin will discharge some of his duties as party president.
