Chennai: Filmmaker A R Murugadoss has moved the Madras High Court seeking police protection. The petition has been filed on behalf of Murugadoss after a section of distributors threatened to lay siege to his residence in Chennai claiming loss screening his movie Darbar.
Darbar starring Rajinikanth and bankrolled by Lyca Productions hit the screens on 9 January. A section of distributors riased their arms recently stating that they suffered loss by distributing the film and demanded Rajinikanth and Murugadoss to compensate them. They even pasted posters in the city seeking compensation.
