Chennai: Though the BJP was not successful in securing a majority in any corporation or municipality, it secured a decent number of seats in the just concluded urban local body elections in Tamilnadu, considerably raising its vote share in the State. Chennai: The Madras High Court today passed an order validating the election held for South Indian Artists Association (SIAA) (commonly known as Nadigar Sangam) in 2019. The bench of Justices Pushpa Satyanarayana and Mohammed Saffiq passed the orders to open sealed ballot box for counting. Results shall not be declared within three weeks. In 2020, the Madras High Court had declared the election to Nadigar Sangam as null and void.
