Chennai:Ā While announcing that the lockdown due to coronavirus would be extended up to 30 April in Tamilnadu, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami today said that bakeries would be allowed to function from tomorrow.
This has brought relief to snack and cake lovers.
Palaniswami said based on the requests from several sections, bakeries will continue to function from 6 am to 1 pm and the earlier restrictionsĀ for hotels and restaurants–allowing parcels only–would also continue.
Stating that safety of every individual and every family was more important for the government, Palaniswami appealed to the people to follow the guidelines announced by the government without fail with the principle ”Stay alert, Stay away and Stay at home”, and by following the social distancing norms to controlĀ spread of the coronavirus.
