Chennai: A woman, who was tested positive for coronavirus, delivered a ‘healthy’ baby boy at the Government Hospital in Erode, where she was isolated and undergoing treatment.

The woman delivered through a cesarean section at the Erode Perunthurai IRT Government Medical College Hospital, which has been classified as the designated facility for treatment of coronavirus cases.

Both the mother and the baby were stable, hospital sources said. On Sunday, of the 106, Tiruppur reported a maximum of 35 cases, followed by Coimbatore 22 and Chennai 18.

Chennai continued to remain on the top of the chart with 199 cases, followed by Coimbatore, which reported 11 cases today, (119), Erode (64), Tiruppur (6), Dindugul and Tirunelveli (56 each).
