Chennai: Actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan along with many eminent personalities in the southern film industry has come up with a song titled Arivum Anbum that talks about hope, positivity and love in these corona outbreak and lockdown times.
The song is written and directed by Kamal Haasan. It has been composed by Ghibran and the music video features actors, singers and composers, including Anirudh Ravichander, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Devi Sri Prasad, Shankar Mahadevan, Shruti Haasan, Bombay Jayashri, Siddharth, Lydian, Andrea, Sid Sriram and Mugen alongside Kamal Haasan.
Releasing the song this morning, Kamal Haasan said that any artiste sitting idle wants to do something today. He added that he has anger to vent, which eventually led to the making of this song. They (all the artistes) wanted to create an anthem, he added. Furthermore, Kamal Haasan said that music is important for mental health as well. He said that music is easy to remember, and this is a reason why film songs are so popular.
He also interacted with media personalities including News Today, Maalaisudar and Talk Media Chairman, Managing Director and Group Editor, T R Jawahar through video conferencing and answered their questions on varied topics.
