Chennai: Referring to news reports that the members of the Tablighi Jamaat, who have recovered from the coronavirus Covid-19, have come forward voluntarily to donate their blood plasma for the relief of all other patients, the Prince of Arcot, Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali, lauded them and welcomed their offer.
In a statement here, he said that this showed their generosity and large heartedness and willingness to help all, irrespective of caste, creed or religion and their sincere desire to be of service to humanity and the nation.
This is the true Islamic teachings, which the members of the Tablighi Jamaat are acting on and their timely gesture should be welcomed and appreciated by one and all, he added.
The Prince of Arcot said there can be no doubt that the Tablighi Jamaat acted in haste, when it chose to go ahead with its conference despite knowing that the pandemic was spreading fast across the globe. But, there is no truth in the accusations made that Tablighi Jamaat members had intended to infect millions, as part of an Islamic conspiracy and were carrying out “corona terrorism.”
