Chennai: In his Ramzan greetings, Prince of Arcot Nawab Mohammed Abdul Ali has called for peaceful co-existence of all faiths and for goodwill among the followers of various religions.
“We, Muslims, throughout the world have completed 30 days of fasting in the holy month of Ramzan, and now we are celebrating Eid, a joyful occasion. Ramzan month is of such a high status, acts of obedience during the month are of immense virtue and earn a greatly multiplied reward,” he said.
The Prince of Arcot added: “The main blessings during the holy month of Ramzan was clearly explained by our Holy Prophet (pbuh), I quote: ‘Whoever observes fast during the holy month of Ramzan out of sincere faith and hoping to obtain Allah’s rewards, then all his or her past sins will be forgiven,’ unquote”, he emphasised.
“Religion does not teach enmity with those belonging to other faiths. Mutual hatred and violence between conflicting groups of persons from different religions is the most futile thing in the world,” he said.
