Chennai: At a time when his alliance partner Congress is hitting out at the BJP-led Centre over the India-China border violence row, DMK president M K Stalin has come in for praise from the Bharatiya Janata Party for his stand on the issue.
National general secretary of BJP, Muralidhar Rao lauded Stalin for supporting the Centre on the border issue. He wanted to know why DMK was maintaining friendship with the Congress which always support the enemy country.
“India, along with the world, is passing through one of the most difficult phases we have ever witnessed. However, India under the leadership of Narendra Modi has transcended all differences and is effectively fighting the Covid pandemic,” he said, addressing the BJP cadre during a virtual rally, held to highlight the one-year achievements the Narendra Modi government.
He also appreciated the Tamilnadu government for effectively containing the spread of coronavirus and providing adequate treatment facilities. “The testing in Tamilnadu is comparatively high in the country and the mortality rate one of the lowest,” he said.
