Chennai: The health condition of Tamilnadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit, who a couple of days ago tested positive for Covid-19, is stable, said sources.
‘Though the infection level on him is mild, doctors are monitoring his health condition round the clock. He is stable and is expected to recover soon,’ they added.
Meanwhile, the Governor has decided not to host the ‘At Home Reception’ at Raj Bhavan on the occasion of Independence Day in view of Covid -19 pandemic.
Purohit was on Sunday admitted to a hospital for a general check-up after 87 members of Raj Bhavan had tested positive for coronavirus.
He was discharged on the same day.
As a few persons staying inside Raj Bhavan showed symptoms, testing was done on 147 persons out of which 84 people, including security personnel and fire service staff, had tested positive and were quarantined.
