Chennai: Indian Hajj Association president Abubacker’s mother Mehrunnisa passed away in Chicago, United States.
According to sources, she was 82 and died today morning due to ill-health. Her last rites will take place at a mosque in Chicago tomorrow, said sources here.
Illinois Governor J B Pritzker and others are expected to take part in it. They added that Mehrunnisa, who lived in Chicago for the past three decades, was involved in social work there.
