Mumbai: Security has been beefed up at Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s residence ‘Matoshree’ in Mumbai’s Bandra after an unidentified man called him up, saying that he was calling from Dubai on behalf of fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
According to a police officer, “Someone called up on ‘Matoshree’ phone number two times on Saturday night and said Dawood Ibrahim wanted to talk to CM Uddhav Thackeray. However, the telephone operator did not transfer the call to the CM.”
Following this, additional security force was deployed outside the bungalow, officials said.
