Chennai: Tamilnadu government today said that the Mullaiperiyar dam is safe and strong.
In its response to a petition filed in Supreme Court, the State government said the supervising committee of the dam has not found fault in the structure.
The State government also asked the Supreme Court to reject the plea asking to reduce the dam storage level to below 130 feet during the monsoon season.
