Chennai: Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Chennai in the celebration of 109th double tenth day of ROC (Taiwan) organised a reception in the city recently.
The theme of the event is “Recover & Prosper Together: Taiwan can help”. Speaking at the function, Ben Wang, Director General of Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Chennai stated, “We are looking to double Taiwanās investment in Tamilnadu and create one million job opportunities.”
Muruganandam, Principal Secretary of Industries, Tamilnadu, said during the pandemic the Tamilnadu government signed 41 MoUs. “We are committed to creating a climate of normalcy. Taiwan companies have shown keen interest for plug and play facilities. IT, blockchain and Cyber security will be the new focus sector.”
Ben Wang said, “It makes sense to further develop and strengthen the mutually beneficial relationship between Taiwan and India in the post-pandemic era.”
