Chennai: A free obesity awareness camp will be held on 16 and 17 October at Gem Hospital Chennai located at MGR Road, Perungudi. This is open for the public from 9 am to 1 pm on both days.
According to a press note, this camp is ideally focusing on the people who are worried about developing other health problems due to obesity, struggling with weight loss attempts and people who are worried about gaining weight.
Dr Praveen Raj, head, department of bariatric surgery, Gem Hospital said, “Obesity has become a major cause for many other diseases. Though, most people try many remedies like diet, exercise, walking etc., how many of them really succeed? So, what is going wrong? The objective of this camp is to answer all their queries with respect to obesity.”
