EPS’ question to Stalin

Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami today said that there is no heir for former Chief Ministers M G Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa. He added that people are the only heir for the leaders of AIADMK.

Speaking at a function after inaugurating Amma mini-clinic at Panamarathupatti in Salem, he took a dig at DMK president M K Stalin.

Palaniswami questioned whether it was good to meet the people or to talk sitting at home.

Palaniswami also said that 100 Amma mini-clinics will be opened at Salem.
The CM recollected the various welfare schemes implemented by Jayalalithaa and MGR.

“Jayalalithaa brought several women centric schemes. MGR’s midday meal scheme is implemented across the country. Nobody in the future can stop the schemes brought by these two leaders,” he said.

He further said this government has been implementing several schemes following the footsteps of Jayalaithaa and MGR.

“As many as 2,000 Amma mini-clinics have been opened in the state. Salem will get 100 mini-clinics. Out of this three mini-clinics have been inaugurated by me now. The Cauvery drinking water scheme will be soon implemented for the benefit of the people residing in Panamarathupatti and Ilapillai areas of Salem,” he added.

He further said, “The bridge constructed at Ariyanur at a cost of Rs 45 crore will be inaugurated soon. Several schemes are implemented for the rural and urban development.”

Talking about measures taken in the fight against coronavirus, Palaniswami said,”Except one district I have personally visited every other district in the State and held review meetings with the District Collectors as a result of which the coronavirus cases have come down in the State.”

Palaniswami also said that AIAMDK is a party which recognises its hardworking cadres.

“Postings will come to those who work for the development of the party and people,” he said.
