Chennai: The special panel enquiring Tuticorin firing that claimed 13 lives, today summoned actor Rajinikanth to appear before the probe commission’s chief, Justice Aruna Jagadessan on 19 January.
Justice Aruna Jagadeesan panel summoned Rajinikanth asking him to appear before the commission regarding his comments on the Tuticorin shootout incident.
Rajinikanth after visiting Thoothukudi said, “Anti-social elements instigated the violence during the anti-stir protests.”
According to sources, the Justice Aruna Jagadeesan panel wants to know more from Rajinikanth about the anti-social elements in the protest.
In Tuticorin immediately after the firing, Rajinikanth visited the site and met the victims of firing incident and their family members.
