Rejig in MNM, Kamal announces new team

Chennai: Makkal Needhi Maiam president Kamal Haasan, who had announced that he would take measures to strengthen the party, today announced a rejig in MNM.

He announced a new set of State secretaries.

Accordingly, two key political advisors, two vice-presidents, three State secretaries, an additional Central Governing Body member, coordinator of the Narpani Iyakkam Wing have been appointed today.

More such appointments will be made in the days to come, Kamal said in a video interaction.
Kamal Haasan will take the additional responsibility of general secretary of the party.

The newly-appointed office-bearers are
Pazha Karuppiah (political advisor), Ponraj Vellaisamy (political advisor), AG Mourya (vice president – Organisation), Thangavelu (vice-president – Implementation and Activation), Senthil Arumugam (State secretary – Information Technology and Public Relations), Siva Elango (State secretary – Organisation),  Sarath Babu (State secretary – Head Quarters), Sripriya Sethupathi (Central Governing Body member) and G Nagarajan (co-ordinator of Narpani Iyakkam).

Kamal said, ‘Party members and functionaries must prioritise their health now. Those who haven’t vaccinated themselves must do so immediately.’

He added the appointments were made to
further the party’s untiring efforts in protecting the land, language and people of Tamilnadu and to further strengthen the party structure and also to take more effectively ‘our policies and action plans to the people’.
