Chennai: Tamilnadu Fisheries Minister Anitha Radhakrishnan’s visit to Thiruvallur is hogging headlines for all the wrong reasons.
Making way for a fresh controversy surrounding ‘VVIP culture’, Radhakrishnan is at the receiving end of major social media backlash after videos of him being carried by fishermen from the sea to the shore emerged.
It is alleged that the Minister was hesitant to step on water and was hence carried by the men, which he denied while talking to reporters.
He said they carried him out of love and there is no need for controversy over this.
Radhakrishnan denied all the allegations and said that he had not asked anyone to carry him and that the fisherman volunteered to do so because out of affection.
