Chennai: The Tamilnadu police have issued a lookout notice against former Minister and AIADMK leader Rajenthra Bhalaji. Eight special teams have been formed and the search is on for him in Tamilnadu and the neighbouring States of Kerala and Karnataka.

Two more special police teams were formed a couple of days ago to arrest Rajenthra Bhalaji over cases of cheating.

Sources said he is on the move by frequently changing cars which is why the police are finding it tough to arrest him.

The police are trying to track Bhalaji, who is the AIADMK district secretary, with his mobile phone signal and those of his close associates.

Bhalaji, who had held the portfolio of Milk and Dairy Development, has been accused of having collected huge sums from several persons promising them jobs at Aavin.

Police said that the former Minister has been booked under sections 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property), 120B (criminal conspiracy) and 506(i) (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.

Bhalaji had led the party’s protest in Virudhunagar district against the DMK government on Friday, shortly before he was denied anticipatory bail.
