Coimbatore: A leopard entered the campus of a college in Coimbatore on Wednesday and killed a dog, sparking off panic among residents in the locality.
Since the college is closed for the festive season and there was no one around, there was no harm to any human being, sources said.
The Forest Department was alerted soon after the incident and officials rushed to the spot. They promised action to prevent the leopard from entering human habitats.
Expressing fear, residents said the animal has been moving in the area for the last few months.
