Chennai: The Tamilnadu government has declared a holiday for classes 10 to 12 till 31 January in view of the rising Covid cases in the State.

An official release here said in view of the increase in cases and taking into account the interests of the students, holiday has been declared for classes 10, 11 and 12 till 31 January.

Already the government has declared holiday classes for 1 to 9, while allowing classes for 10 to 12. Now a holiday has been declared for all classes, the release said.

All the exams scheduled to commence on 19 January for students of classes 10 and 12 were also postponed and fresh date would be announced later.
