Chennai: Coastal areas in Tamilnadu may experience moderate rains till today, Met Department has said.
Parts of South India will continue to experience brief wet spells over the next couple of days, with isolated light to moderate rainfall activity forecast over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, interior Tamilnadu and Kerala.
The convergence of strong easterlies at the lower level and westerly winds at the upper level of the atmosphere are expected to create these wet conditions across Tamilnadu and its neighbouring regions.
Coastal parts of Tamilnadu have seen some good rains in the past few days with double-digit rains in many coastal regions.
The Department has forecast a generally cloudy sky and moderate rains to occur in some areas till Wednesday. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 29 degree Celsius.
