Chennai: Tanker (Tamilnad Kidney Research) Foundation inaugurated its 19th haemodialysis machine for the Greater Chennai Corporation RCME Tanker Dialysis Unit here recently.
The machine was donated by Sri Ramachandra Trust and Mangal Tirth Estate Limited and was inaugurated by N Ramachandran and M Balasubramaniam, a press release said.
Tanker Foundation managing trustee, Latha A Kumaraswami said that so far Tanker has done more than four lakh free and subsidised dialysis through their 12 dialysis centres thanks to valuable support from the CMCHIS, Greater Chennai Corporation and various Rotary Clubs, FreeMasons, Round Table and other valuable donors.
Ramachandran of Sri Ramachandra Trust appreciated the service by Tanker and their staff. Balasubramaniam and Vijay of Mangal Tirth Estate Limited said they would continue to help Tanker in all their activities. Tanker Foundation head admin, Vasanthi Ravichander, proposed the vote of thanks.
