Chennai: Though there is a huge decline in Covid-19 cases in Tamilnadu, public should not show any kind of laxity in following appropriate behaviour, State Health Minister M Subramanian has said.

Speaking to the media, he said, ‘We do not know whether there will be a fourth wave of Covid-19. Tamilnadu government is taking all safety measures but people should not show laxity in following Covid-19 appropriate behaviour. They should follow the government’s laid out standard operating procedures for the next three months.’

The Minister cautioned that there has been a rise in new cases in neighbouring states and people should stay alert.

Another 44 persons tested positive on Wednesday for Covid-19 infection pushing up the tally of those infected in the State to 34,52,534. As on date 505 persons are under treatment, either in hospitals or in healthcare facilities.
