Chennai: AIADMK convenor O Paneerselvam today sought Chief Minister M K MK Stalin to intervene and ensure interrupted power supply at all across Tamilnadu especially when students are taking their final exams.
In a press release, Paneerselvam, said, ‘Though TANGEDCO has issued a circular directing its officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply even during night hours till May 31, there are reports of power-cuts at many places’.
‘Power-cuts during night hours when students are preparing for examinations would disturb them emotionally. It should not be a reason for them to get low marks in final exams. Also with final exams for colleges to begin next month, power supply should be provided without any hibdrance’.
Hence the Chief Minister should intervene and make sure uninterrupted power supply is ensured, said Paneerselvam.
