
Chief Minister MK Stalin today awarded cash incentive of Rs 1.10 cr to Jerlin Anika and Prithvi Sekar, who won many medals in Deaf Olympics in Brazil recently for the country, at a function held in the Secretariat in Chennai.
Jerlin Anika won three gold medals at the Deaf Olympics. She bagged gold in individual women, mixed doubles and India team badminton events.
Prithvi Sekhar, a Chennai-based tennis player bagged three medals at the event — bronze in men’s singles, bronze in mixed doubles with Jafreen Shaik, and silver in men’s doubles with Dhananjay Dubey.
Both Jerlin and Prithvi thanked the Chief Minister and State government for the gesture.
