Maayon by Double Meaning Productions, starring Sibi Sathyaraj and Tanya Ravichandran in the lead role, saw its trailer released Sunday in a grand manner.
It is a mythological thriller set against the backdrops of an ancient temple in Tamilnadu.
The others in the star cast include Radha Ravi, K.S. Ravikumar, Bagavathi Perumal, Hareesh Peradi, Arash Shah, and others.
The technical crew includes Arun Mozhi Manickam (screenplay), Ram Prasad (cinematography), N. Kishore (director) Ram Pandian-Kondalarao (editing), Balasubramanian (art) and Billa Jegan (stunts). Music is by Ilayaraja.
Speaking at tbe event, Sibiraj said, ‘It was my dream to act in a movie like Indiana Jones or Davinci Code. It got realised with Maayon’.
To have a legend like Ilayaraja score music for my movie is a delight. It is not a spiritual film. There are more to it,he added.
On his part, K S Ravikumar said, ‘I am part of the cast. I just did what my director wanted me to do. The art work in the movie will amaze audience’.
Arun Mozhi Manickam, said, ‘I never wanted to act. But when I narrated a portion, everyone insisted me to do one before the screen.
The story was within me for a long time. To make sure even the visually-challenged enjoy the trailer, we have come out with special.feature to engage and entertain them in the trailer’.
Tanya said, ‘It was great acting with Sibiraj. I come all through the film. We made the movie with great difficulty. Our hard work will be visible in every frame’.
