Tamilnadu will hold a mega Covid-19 vaccination camp on June 12 across 1 lakh centres, the state`s health department said in a statement. Some 1.64 crore people in Tamilnadu are yet to take the vaccine in the state and the department is planning to inoculate the maximum amount of the population during thee upcoming drive.
Recording a slight dip in the number of infections, Tamil Nadu logged 185 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday against the previous day’s count of 195. Of the state’s new cases, 94 cases were reported from Chennai alone.
Notably, Chennai and its three neighbouring districts accounted for almost 80 percent of the fresh infections reported in the state. Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur recorded 24, 19 and 15 cases respectively.
