Bynge, an online app for readers created by Notion Press has launched a ‘National Writing Contest’ for aspiring writers, to identify the best fiction writers in India.

A press release said that the contest is for all upcoming and experienced writers of English, Hindi and Tamil languages.

“The registration process has begun and the last date for submission is July 10, 2022.
The winning stories from the competition earn a chance to feature on the Bynge App alongside the likes of famous contemporary Indian writers. In addition, 25 stories from different categories will be part of an exclusive anthology, compiled and published by Notion Press as an e-book and paperback,” the release added.

It further said that the winning writer will be awarded Rs. 25,000, and the submitted story will be part of the anthology.

Commemorating this occasion, Naveen Valsakumar, CEO and co-founder of Notion Press, said, ‘The contest will motivate aspiring writers to finally pen down stories that they have been longing to share. This will help us find new talent among independent authors across genres. We will continue to celebrate and encourage writers by connecting them to eager readers, while also inspiring new readers to pick up a book and develop a taste for reading.”

India has defended the international anti-terrorism funding organisation against attacks on it by Pakistan saying it was motivated by fear of scrutiny. Calling the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) “an indispensable pillar of the global counterterrorism financing and anti-money laundering architecture”, India’s Permanent Representative P Harish said on Monday, “Attempts to question its credibility often reflect fear of scrutiny rather than genuine process-related concerns”.
