The State government has extended the term of Justice A Arumughaswamy Commission, which was set to expire on August 3, till August 24.

The move came after the commission – which was set up to probe the cause for the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa – made a request stating that it needed time to submit its final report as it was awaiting another report from the Supreme Court-appointed AIIMS medical board.
