The breakfast scheme for government school students will be extended to more institutions.
Tabling the Budget in the State Assembly today, State Finance Minister PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan said, ‘Students till standard five will be provided with breakfast’
This scheme has ensured 29%retention in government schools. Over 1.48 lakh students in over 1900 schools will be benefited.
The scheme was launched by Chief Minister MK Stalin a few months ago.
