Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off Chennai-Coimbatore Vande Bharat Express at MGR Chennai Central railway station today.
Governor R N Ravi and chief minister MK Stalin accompanied him.
The scheduled services will begin on Sunday. The train with eight coaches will start from Coimbatore at 6am and reach Chennai at 11.50am. In the return direction, it will leave Chennai at 2.25pm and reach Coimbatore at 8.15 pm.
