Income Tax sleuths are conducting raids at over 40 locations in various companies across Chennai especially in OMR Road, Neelangarai and other areas.
Reports say that their alleged links with regard TNEB tenders are being probed.
Officials landed early in the morning at these firms and are conducting raids.
Several questions are being thrown at owners of these firms and documents are being scrutinised.
The raids are expected to continue the whole day.
