Seeman, the Chief Coordinator of the Pro-Tamil outfit Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK), strongly criticised pro-Kannada activists for disrupting actor Siddharth’s press conference. The disruption occurred during their protest opposing the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.
Siddharth found himself at the center of a controversy that had little to do with his profession. He was forced to abruptly leave a press conference for the Tamil movie “Chiththa” on September 28, due to the angry protests over the contentious Cauvery water dispute.
Seeman voiced his disapproval of the incident, asserting that Siddharth, as an artist, bore no responsibility for the water issue. He emphasised that Siddharth had not solicited Cauvery water and argued that political leaders should engage in meaningful discussions to find a solution to the dispute.
What transpired during Siddharth’s press conference was regrettable, Seeman remarked. ‘The Cauvery issue is a matter that political party leaders need to discuss and resolve. But how can someone behave in such a way towards an artist over this matter?’
