In a strategic move to prepare for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the President of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, MK Stalin, is set to address booth level agents from the party’s 13 district units in the northern region. This significant one-day training program is scheduled to take place on October 22, with Malapampatti panchayat in Tiruvannamalai district serving as the venue. The DMK, a prominent political force in Tamil Nadu, has been actively gearing up for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, and this initiative is part of their ongoing efforts to consolidate their support at the grassroots level. Duraimurugan, the General Secretary of the DMK, in an official statement, emphasised the importance of this training program and called upon the district secretaries in Tiruvannamalai, Dharmapuri, Kallakurichi, Krishnagiri, Tirupattur, Ranipet, Vellore, and Villupuram districts to ensure the active participation of booth level agents. This outreach program is part of a series of similar initiatives that the DMK has been conducting since July 26. These programs have effectively covered the party’s district units in southern, delta, and western districts of Tamil Nadu. The objective is to ensure that the DMK is well-prepared and strategically positioned for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Stalin, who assumed the office of Chief Minister in May 2021, has been actively working to consolidate the party’s position and implement a progressive agenda in Tamil Nadu. @@@
