Stray cattle attacks elderly man in Triplicane

An elderly man walking on a road in Chennai’s Triplicane was attacked by a cow and he had to be hospitalised. The cow owner was arrested and was fined Rs 5,000. CCTV footage shows an 80-year-old man walking down a road where cattle were roaming. As the man approaches closer, a cow suddenly attacks the man using its horns. As a result, the man collapses. The man had been admitted to the Omundurar Hospital. Doctors said his condition was stable. Following the incident, the cattle owner was arrested by the police. A fine of Rs 5,000 was also imposed by the Chennai Corporation on the owner for each cow found roaming on the streets. As per the Chennai Corporation, a total of 3,737 cattle have been seized in the last few months. @@@@
